Scott Johnston founded Crossroads Refrigeration in 1988, shortly after serving his apprenticeship. Launching Crossroads Refrigeration as a true start-up company out of the back of his vehicle, Scott quickly made a name for himself in the industry. His willingness to take on complicated projects, legendary work ethic, and commitment to customer service, elevated the company to an elite level, setting the standards for which it operates under today.

Dave Christie – Construction Manager
Dave Christie joined the Crossroads team in 1996 after a successful career in the heavy mechanical contracting industry. His primary responsibility is managing the installation crews, and ensuring all TSSA applications and other associated details are handled professionally and accurately.
Our experience working for large retailers allows us to stay current with the latest technologies as they hit the market. As a result, our technicians are used to working with all different types of refrigeration and control systems. We have an outstanding working relationship with all of the major equipment manufacturers, allowing us to source parts from all over Canada and the United States.
We offer customized preventative maintenance plans to avoid breakdowns and ensure equipment performance is maximized. Our mobile pressure-washing unit is always ready to blast away the fall leaves from condenser units, or eliminate the spring pollen/airborne debris in the spring. Quarterly maintenance plans are recommended, but we’ll customize any maintenance plan to suit the needs of our clients.
Construction and Renovation
Whether it’s a new build, or a renovation project, our construction team is up to the task. Some of the services offered include: estimating and cost management, developing a detailed plan of work, site coordination, supervision of sub-trades, sourcing parts and materials, and safety documentation and compliance with building code regulations.
We have a friendly and qualified office staff to receive, dispatch and schedule your needs in priority. You will never have to leave a voicemail. Our technicians always arrive in a timely fashion to emergency calls, and will do everything possible to help your store avoid product loss. All of our technicians are fully certified and prepared to handle any refrigeration or HVAC issues they encounter.
Being environmentally responsible and conforming with government standards is extremely important to us. We provide updated safety information to all of our technicians and our clients about the products used in the field.
